Kakagon Slough

Sometimes called the Northern Everglades ... the Kakagon Slough is tribal property and where most of the local wild rice is grown.
yeah, me.
Chequamegon Bay, looking from the Kakagon Sloughs
The sloughs (a lake in a bay) are an internationally protected wetland area.
These were two small houses on the tip of one of the fingers into the bay.
They looked to be accessible only by water.
