november ...

it is National Novel Writing Month ~ better known as [NaNoWriMo] ~ i'm off to a good start with a little over 4,000 words.  but it is the weekend, when i have more time to write.  although when the inspiration hits, i'm liable to get up in the middle of the night and write until dawn. [this] has been my ideas page on Pinterest where i've saved some of my early research ideas.

if you'd like to support NaNoWriMo ~ and all hopeful writers ~ you can [here].

my novel, Winter Bear, will be a story similar to Trooper's Run and Eagle Visions.  it is a story of unconditional love, forgiveness, and second chances.  it will take a little of this and a little of that from my own life experiences to create characters that are honest and believable.  it will be set in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and may even follow the characters as they face new challenges and move to a new state.

my goal is to write at least 1,000 words each day in november, and since i usually write with only a general idea of where the story will go, it is often a surprise where i wrap up each day.  will i have stayed with the idea i started with?  or will (as often happens) i have gone in a totally new direction?
