in the details ...

David brought in some turkey feathers from the truck this afternoon, and another feather he found while out working with a friend this afternoon.  i noticed that the smaller turkey feathers have a beautiful iridescence that you really don't see from a distance when they are foraging in the trees...



the larger feathers don't have the same iridescence.  these are both turkey feathers, the one on the left is a wing feather, and the other a tail feather.

i now have several different kinds of feathers, including one that is almost transparent that i think came from an angel, and one of these days i would like to frame them to hang in my writing room.
