tree bones

they say that elephants when they know they are dying will travel miles to reach a place known only in their memories from the ancient ones, to die in a graveyard among friends
today i felt like we had found a similar boneyard

twisted by storm winds, these trees still stood for many years after the storms passed, growing, twisting, bending and standing against storm after storm until one day they could stand no more

uprooted and pushed by the lake waters, wind, and ice as it heaved, they made their way to the beach of this island

where the circle of life begins again
we are like that too, we stand against the storms in our lives, twisting, bending, growing, and even when we finally break ... life begins again ...
never give up
