irony ...

this weekend i took down my Easter tree ~ loving the cute little lamb I got on clearance at Pier One (original price $9 & I got for $2!)
~ and put up my Memorial Day decor ~ i have an ornament for almost every branch of the government i've worked for (just need to get a Smokey Bear or Forest Service) ... every aircraft when i was on an Air Force base (F-16, F-22, F-4, F-15); for the Army, i have a soldier and every helicopter that flew out of Ft. Hood; and a boatswain's pipe for when i was working at the Navy dive school ...
... and i realized that last August when my tree was still up for the memorial service and family's bbq in honor of the woman whose house i was renting (she was very active with the American Legion Women's Auxiliary in the community when she was alive) ... that one of her grandchildren who had access to the house must have pocketed the diver helmet keychain i had hanging on the tree and i didn't realize it when i took the tree down at the end of the summer

the irony of it all is that i had to leave that house because of small town gossiping and judgmental minds, when in fact that they really should have cleaned their own windows and glass houses before trying to throw stones at mine

John 8:7 They kept on asking Him. Then He stood up and said, “Anyone of you who is without sin can throw the first stone at her.”

  1. Sometimes (often) the first to throw stones should be the last.

  2. I'm so sorry! But - just wanted to say that the trees are so lovely!! Wish I was that crafty! :-)
